Kamala Harris — Battleground Operation: Happy Warrior
Tailwind to Win at only 105 Days out from November 5th
This is very hard, for the stakes are higher than the American people deserve, but we must win.
We start off today, the first full day of the Presidential campaign of the Honorable Kamala Harris, who, among other firsts will be the first American President to have completed Howard University, one of America‘s truly great universities.
First Lady Michelle Obama, in the spirit of her considerable personal nobility and goodness of person, and in the long historic arc of America‘s one, truly Moral Folk Movement, the Civil Rights Movement, had promised:
They go low, we go high.
Our future President, Kamala Harris, faces the moral equivalent in our foe of the old firebrand segregationist, Bull Connor, and to win against reimposition of Jim Crow, our campaign must be:
Within the bounds of the law, no-holds barred battle to the very end with Victory by All Means Necessary or Convenient!
Mahatma Gandhi, under the principles of Henry David Thoreau and Lev Tolstoy (whom Gandhi met with at Tolstoy‘s Dacha) freed India through struggle of principled non-violence.
But that does not mean Ghandi did not want to offend the colonizers.
No, Gandhi gave high offense smash in the face of the stuffy colonizer and raised the moral consciousness of the whole world in his hoped for free land that he wanted to make welcome all of the diverse peoples of the great subcontinent of India.
In that heritage, made immediate in our history through the truly greats — Martin Luther King, Medgar Evers, Robert Fitzgerald Kennedy, and by the dearly missed Congressman John Lewis, Kamala Harris can, in Congressman Lewis‘ expression
Make good trouble!
It would cause a happy shock to see beautiful Black voices sing, Amanda Gorman at the campaign podium with her soaring poetry.
As one who is very traditional, loving classical music and 19th century Russian and German literature, I say:
The most beautiful force in our three-hundred year American culture is the Black voice in literature (James Baldwin, Zora Neale Hurston, Richard Wright, Jasmyn Ward, Amanda Gorman) and the powerful moral force of the Black voice — (Paul Robeson, Billy Holliday (Strange Fruit!), Muddy Waters, Aretha Franklin).
This beautiful moral force that is America‘s common heritage— the Black voice — can electrify this Nation to elect the first Howard graduate as President of the United States.
I just donated to the Kamala Harris Presidential campaign before writing this Post.
We have no time to lose.
Tick, tock, tick, tock, there are only 105 days till the election on November 5th, and the Republicans are now caught where we want them — with their pants down. It is not a pretty sight.
While we have the considerable moral force of the historic civil rights movement providing a strong headwind to the Kamala Harris Presidential Campaign, we need to move swiftly and with singleminded action: Heady campaigners need to take up the media’s air time with good controversies. Make good trouble: Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Gretchen Whitmer, Gavin Newsome, Andy Beshear, Kathy Hochul, Andy Beshear. Our campaigners are winners.
The GOP is morally bankrupt.
Future President Kamala Harris has a powerful opportunity, and she intends to take it.
The campaign has so much promise and so many stinking, open wounds in the Republican Party:
Healthcare rights for women and girls — highlighting the absurd, misogynistic laws of red states, giving headline coverage to tragedies suffered by a ten-year old girl, abused by a trusted relative and states that tried to force this girl to carry the child and to punish the caregivers — many, many cases, including Alabama‘s Supreme Court on IVF pregnancies;
Fully funding the Secret Service, after GOP efforts to control the Service‘s budget, and multiplying the number of agents;
Multiplying the number of border control agents and passage of the border security bill that Speaker Mike Johnson blocked;
Safe water for our inner cities — after unconscionable pollution to drinking water in Flint, Michigan and Jackson, Mississippi;
Greater rail safety after the horrific spill of natural gas through the trainwreck in East Palestine, Ohio in 2023;
Full-Court Press against the plenary powers and immunity from prosecution bestowed by this Supreme Court;
Anti-Democratic practices of the GOP, from Gerrymandering through January 6th insurrection attempts to GOP state legislatures trying to stifle the will of their people through both passage of nigh impossible hurdles to (pro-Choice) state resolutions (the people not holding to the GOP Fundamentalist ideology) to replacement of election commissioners with Trump-toadies;
Attack against red-state abuse of children immigrants through underage work in toxic slaughterhouses;
Attack against racist treatment of immigrant women and children — in Texas, barbed wire barriers that drown mothers and little children in the Rio Grande that do nothing whatsoever to hinder the technologically savvy drug lords who even breach our shores with private, drug forwarding submarines;
Strengthening workers‘ rights to bargain for healthcare and retirement benefits in the workplace — something that Republicans— prominently something that former Governor Scott Walker squelched;
Expansion of alternatives to university education through technical schools and organized apprenticeships;
Propose plans to fund universities to radically cut tuition costs;
Expansion of Medicaid benefits in red-states that had fought against Obamacare— Mississippi, Arkansas, and Tennessee having some of the neediest citizens in the Country;
Running on our history of infrastructure projects, promising more, to continue boosting employment and interstate commerce;
Programs to strengthen our alliances — after the Trump doldrums, where Emmanuel Macro pronounced the Trump-hobbled NATO as „brain-dead“ (!!), under the Biden/Harris administration, NATO now encompasses virtually the entire European Continent— with greater commitment to defense spending by the Continent under the prompting of Biden/Harris
The Kamala-Harris-for-President campaign would emphasize that, far from military strength, Trump pulled out of annual joint naval and air exercises with South Korea with no concessions from Kim Jong-Un. Biden/Harris restored those annual exercises, helped strengthen close working relations among two nations— Japan and South Korea, who do not like each other because of long war history, but who together form a powerful deterrent to China.
The Kamala-Harris Presidential Campaign would emphasize how Trump cowered to the war criminal, Vladimir Putin, who bombs children’s hospitals and kindergartens in Ukraine, whereas Biden/Harris materially support Ukraine, securing thereby Europe, and easing tensions to keep our uniformed servicemen and women home, out of harms way.
The Kamala-Harris for President Campaign would keep the violent images of white, Confederate Flag bearing racists who brutally assaulted the Nation‘s Capitol, with calls to hang the Republican Vice President, Mike Pence, and smash Trump with vociferous videos damning the Former President for bringing on the racist Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, who spearheaded the operations. Testimony of former White House Aide, Cassidy Hutchison would be repeatedly aired to show the lunatic decisions made by then-President Trump during the January 6th insurrection.
These messages over the insurrection would dominate the air waves with the lengthy prison terms imposed on Proud Boy and Oath Keeper leaders of the insurrection, accompanied by vivid images of the assault.
The Kamala-Harris for President campaign would excerpt Project 2025‘s attempt to suppress the rights of women and girls; to put, not a trickle-down, but a trickle-up economy that so benefits billionaires as to buy from Elon Musk the promise of Musk campaign donations of $45 Million per month on Trump/Vance to lusciously grow Musk‘s wealth at the expense of the working man and woman.
Finally, the Kamala Harris for President campaign would surprise and monopolize the airwaves with bold promises of benefits to families and single parents, and force the Republicans, name, dare them to oppose these benefits.
We can fan an enormous tailwind to launch the Kamala Harris Presidential Campaign in the spirit announced 60 to 70 years ago by a wonderful orator (though not so good a man):
There is no alternative to victory!
Armand, you and I often get into philosophy to help understand or, think we understand better, what is going on around us. I know math and science are not your strong suit but I want to discuss something that is being discussed more and more in the world of physics.
This is the principle of EMERGENCE.
I do not want to get too deep into the math concepts but let me provide a simple explanation. In a world of many variables that often interact with many other variables, often in nonlinear manner, something can emerge that does not appear to exist at lower scales. Some scientist are starting to believe that both time and gravity are emergent properties.
With Harris, we may be seeing a growing wave emerging that can sweep the country and help clean out some of the rot that has grown with Trump. EMERGENCE.
Some may want to point to historical event to make their analyses and attempt to discount Harris. These people are ignorant on how the underlying variableS have changed. One big change is the dynamical variable of experiencing noxious smells coming from Trump that are increasing daily. This helps fuel the EMERGENCE.
SINCE WE RECENTLY ALLUDED TO HERACLITUS to throw in some philosophy, we definitely are in flux and fire. Another image is that before Biden stepped down with colored sands of time a Mandela was crafted. But with all Mandela, it is destroyed to remind us that the only thing that doesn’t change is change itself.
Think: emergence, flux, huge wave, fire.
That’s what Franklin D. Roosevelt said in nominating Alfred E. Smith in 1928 for the Democratic Presidential role.
Smith got the nomination. However, being a native New Yorker with a thick accent, a Tammany man, and, most of all, a Roman Catholic, he got hammered outside of large cities.
Since then, we’ve had two Catholic Presidents (JFK and Biden), but it’s interesting that Harris is also a pioneer…African-American, Asian-American, Jewish husband, and female.
Let’s see if it works…at least the Bloated Yam can’t call her senile, but he’ll try.
