We will persevere and continue to challenge their lies. Well done, Armand, I especially the new names you created to reference Our National Nightmare. Glad to have you as an ally.

Ilona Goanos: Thank you so very much!

Unfortunately the fever has spread worldwide.

Friedrich Merz, Christian Democrat, now cooperates with the white supremacist AfD (Alternative for Germany) In formulating a bill before the German Parliament to control immigration, and blames crimes on the Scholz regime, which faces election on 23 February next month.

The German Constitutional Court observes closely the activities of the radical AfD, and Mr. Merz has broken such a taboo that the move was debated last night on the very mature, sober hour on ZDF of Maybrit Illner:

You are a well reasoned voice that I love to follow, the more so in hard times for the dignity of each person. Thank you so very much for your inspirational Substack column, which I regularly follow!

You can add Jonathan Daniels to the list of martyrs in the Civil Rights Movement. He was a 26-year-old seminarian who was murdered by the KKK, in collusion with the local judiciary and law enforcement. (He was a friend of my dad's.) The fact that so many good people gave their lives on behalf of civil rights for all Americans is very hard to live with, now that these civil rights are being wrenched away from them.

Liz Gauffreau: Thank you so much for adding Jonathan Myrick Daniels, Episcopal Seminarian, a young hero who took a fatal shotgun blast to his chest and stomach. The KKK gunman, Thomas Coleman, had aimed at a young Black woman. Mr. Daniels pushed her aside and stood directly before the gunman, who not only killed Mr. Coleman but also shot a Catholic Priest in the back, Fr. Richard Morrisroe. Fr. Morrisroe survived the wounds and was among witnesses interviewed by the FBI.

What an extraordinary hero is the Seminarian J. M. Daniels!

What a privilege to have been a family friend of this heroic clergyman.

"The fact that so many good people gave their lives on behalf of civil rights for all Americans is very hard to live with, now that these civil rights are being wrenched away from them."

Heroes have not given their lives in vain.

If you save ONE person -- as did the Seminarian Mr. Daniels -- you save an entire universe.

This is the sum of the Holy Talmud in the Tractate Sanhedrin 37a.

Now, lawyer that I am, I give the hyperlink, below, with the text of the English translation favored by the Site, "Sefaria".

See:

The Talmud in Sanhedrin 37a:

https://www.sefaria.org/Sanhedrin.38a.18?lang=bi&with=all&lang2=en

The text, with the original Hebrew, appears at the hyperlink.

Here is a transcription of a portion:

"The court tells the witnesses: Therefore, Adam the first man was created alone, to teach you that with regard to anyone who destroys one soul from the Jewish people, i.e., kills one Jew, the verse ascribes him blame as if he destroyed an entire world, as Adam was one person, from whom the population of an entire world came forth. And conversely, anyone who sustains one soul from the Jewish people, the verse ascribes him credit as if he sustained an entire world.

"The mishna cites another reason Adam the first man was created alone: And this was done due to the importance of maintaining peace among people, so that one person will not say to another: My father, i.e., progenitor, is greater than your father. And it was also so that the heretics who believe in multiple gods will not say: There are many authorities in Heaven, and each created a different person.

"And this serves to tell of the greatness of the Holy One, Blessed be He, as when a person stamps several coins with one seal, they are all similar to each other. But the supreme King of kings, the Holy One, Blessed be He, stamped all people with the seal of Adam the first man, as all of them are his offspring, and not one of them is similar to another. Therefore, since all humanity descends from one person, each and every person is obligated to say: The world was created for me, as one person can be the source of all humanity, and recognize the significance of his actions."

Liz, thank you so very much with enriching us with the life of this heroic Seminarian and your dear, well-loved family friend, Rev. Jonathan Myrick Daniels.

I actually found the FBI file on his case, which had been declassified. Absolutely appalling.

Liz Gauffreau: Hmmm. The way the FBI was, against the Civil Rights movement, painting the Great Moral Movement of Our Time as if it were Communist, trying to induce Dr King to commit suicide. I shudder to think of the FBI's part.

Having grown up in the midst of John Edgar Hoover's long direction of the FBI (1919-1972), the FBI disillusioned me early on.
